The “IATF Rules, 6^th Edition” or “Rules for achieving maintaining IATF Recognition, 6^th Edition” were published in April 2024 and have been mandatory since 1 January 2025.

A so-called Sanctioned Interpretation (SI) alters the interpretation of a rule or requirement and thereby becomes the basis for a deviation.

The current Sanctioned Interpretations have been approved and published by the IATF. Unless otherwise stated, these Sanctioned Interpretations are effective from the date of their respective publication.
