The VDA QMC publishes so-called Sanctioned Interpretations (SIs) and answers to Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) on VDA QMC publications and VDA 6.X Standards from time to time.
A Sanctioned Interpretation (SI) changes the interpretation of a rule or requirement and thus becomes the basis for a nonconformity.
A “frequently asked question” is an explanation/clarification of an existing requirement.
