IATF 16949 certified manufacturing sites across the world

The total number of 92,371 IATF 16949 certified locations shown below include all the IATF 16949 certificates worldwide valid at the referenced date.

At the end of May 2023, the first time in the history of the IATF, more than 90,000 manufacturing sites were holding a valid IATF 16949 certificate,.

The valid certificates include all the IATF 16949 certificates issued by the IATF-recognized certification bodies, which have the status of either “issued” or “suspended”. You can check the individual validity of an IATF 16949 certificate in the so-called “IATF Certificate Validity Check” or the “IATF Customer Portal”:  IATF Customer Portal

NOTE: In accordance with the IATF Rules, also a suspended IATF 16949 certificate is a certificate that is still valid.

The “Top 10” nonconformitites shown below are the result of the globally conducted IATF 16949 3rd party audits. All the on-site and remotely conducted stage 2 audits, surveillance audits, as well as recertification and transfer audits are included in the calculation.

The percentage share of the TOP 10 nonconformities is based on all the major and minor nonconformitites identified in the respective past 12 months (rolling 12-month period) is shown.
