The IATF-recognized Certification Bodies form a global network and are the first point of contact for companies being interested in becoming certified in accordance with IATF 16949.
The IATF OEM members as well as most of the other companies in the global automotive supply chains recognize only those IATF 16949 certificates, which were issued by a certification body recognized by IATF and bear the IATF logo as well as the specific IATF number. You can check whether an IATF 16949 certificate is still valid under the so-called “IATF Certificate Validity Check” or the “IATF Customer Portal”: IATF Customer Portal
The IATF-recognized Certification Bodies ensure that the IATF 16949 certification is carried out in compliance with the requirements of IATF, i.e. the “IATF Rules” for the entire auditing and certification process. These certificates are recognized by all the companies in the automotive industry.
