Constant adaptation, continuous learning

The crisis-related challenges of the present keep people and companies busy. New technologies are being developed at great speed and digitalisation is advancing. Everything is fast-tracked: Life and work.

How will the German automotive industry succeed in the transformation to autonomous driving, (climate-neutral) e-mobility and sustainability in the supply chain?

Show all qualification offers

Evolution shows the way – we have to adapt to progress, be fast and flexible. Not just that – we need to keep an eye on what’s coming and play an active role in the process of innovation.

The qualifications offered by the VDA QMC range from basic qualifications to QM methods and expertise in audits.

Our training courses
Basic qualification for quality management and auditors

The basic qualifications are designed to provide an introduction to the extensive subject of “Quality Management in the Automotive Industry”.

The DIN EN ISO 19011 standard, which is also the focus of the VDA auditor qualification, is still regarded as a solid basis for the subject of auditing. This training will enable you to carry out audits in the automotive industry competently and successfully.

The training series for VDA quality managers and internal auditors focuses on the typical aspects of quality work in the automotive industry. The modular structure means that the content is taught in condensed learning units.

IATF 16949

IATF 16949 is the globally recognised approach to quality management in the automotive industry. In addition to the industry-neutral requirements of DIN EN ISO 9001, IATF 16949 defines the specific requirements of the automotive industry. IATF 16949 certification is considered a fundamental prerequisite for inclusion in the supplier base of automotive manufacturers or in the corresponding supply chain.

In the training courses offered, different target groups, for example, managers or prospective auditors, acquire the competences necessary for their practice. The qualification is confirmed by passing the specific VDA examinations.

Audit regulations VDA 6.x

In order to enable car manufacturers, their suppliers and the affiliated service companies to evaluate their quality management systems, processes, products and services in a uniform and comparable way, the VDA QMC has drawn up quality standards for the German automotive industry which are described in the VDA 6.x volumes.

In our training courses and examinations you can qualify as a VDA 6.x system auditor, process auditor and product auditor in order to implement the corresponding standards internally or at suppliers or to certify organisations according to VDA 6.x.

QM methods

The use of QM methods serves the purposeful implementation of a quality management system and supports organisations in recognising customer requirements, minimising risks and designing business processes more efficiently.

Depending on the specific phase of product realisation, different methods are available for improving product or process characteristics. The following training courses provide you with a range of tools that have proven themselves in practice.

Qualifications in cooperation

In cooperation with the Fraunhofer Institute, we offer you qualifications on the subject of technical cleanliness VDA 19.1 and VDA 19.2.

The training and professional development team

Quality is what we are passionate about. Our mission is to provide training and professional development.
Based on our many years of experience – also from the projects of the Automotive Quality Institute GmbH (AQI) – we have developed an extensive repertoire of training courses and examinations for you and combined it with sound didactic competence. As a GmbH (limited liability company) and a company of the German Association of the Automotive Industry (VDA), AQI acts economically independently and can therefore carry out both research and application projects.

Today, training and professional development stands for the perfect symbiosis of training development, application-oriented implementation and modern technologies.
