VDA Volume 2 “Quality Assurance for Supplies” describes the procedure for production process and product approval. This demonstrates the quality capability of processes under series production conditions, as well as product conformity, by means of documents, records, and samples. In this training, you will become familiar with and learn to apply the VDA standard.

• You know the procedure for the release of products and their associated production processes within the scope of organizational responsibility.
• You will be able to plan and coordinate the PPA process and integrate it into the product engineering process.
• You are familiar with the triggers for a PPA process, the procedure for involving the customer in the case of changes as well as the evidence for internal and external release.
• You will be able to apply the PPA standard correctly.
• You understand the key differences between VDA Volume 2 and the AIAG Production Process and Product Approval (PPAP).
• You will be able to apply the PPA process for software as a product and/or as part of the product.
• You are capable to use the VDA 2 PPA Tool.

Knowledge of quality management systems and product engineering processes

Recommended:

• Knowledge of IATF 16949 requirements
• Expert knowledge of the contents of other VDA volumes, in particular the VDA volume Maturity Level Assurance for New Parts (MLA)

After passing the knowledge test (Single-Choice-Test), you will receive a certificate of qualification.
