The safety of products and their compliance with legal as well as voluntarily assumed obligations are the primary goals of all companies in the automotive industry. However, achieving these goals is becoming increasingly challenging – diversified markets, product variations, and complex supply chains make the requirements confusing.
The risk involved is enormous: if product safety and compliance are not ensured, it can threaten the existence of the entire company. Each market player should therefore address these challenges not only in terms of individual products but systematically at the organizational level – with a Product Compliance System (PCS).
Such a system includes elements for the identification, monitoring, control, and minimization of product compliance-related risks at the company level. This allows potential dangers to be identified and prevented early on. This is particularly essential for current or prospective Product Safety & Conformity Representatives (PSCRs).
In this training, you will learn about the seven elements that make up a Product Compliance System. Practical examples will help you gain an understanding how to apply these at your company.
The course alternates between presentations, practical exercises and feedback. The focus is on using simple real-world examples to explore how the components of a product compliance system are applied in practice.
The training is aimed at managers and staff who deal with product- and technology-related compliance issues throughout the product lifecycle, as well as current and prospective PSCRs. It is also suitable for staff from small and medium-sized enterprises in the automotive industry who are currently developing a Product Compliance System or intend to do so in the future.
After passing the knowledge test (Single-Choice-Test), you will receive a certificate of qualification.
